Andrea grew up in Southern California and
discovered that she felt completely at home
onstage after a high school production of Our
Town. Shortly thereafter she began acting
classes at The Young Actor’s Space, then
moved to New York the next year to study full-
time at an acting conservatory.
She graduated from The American Academy of
ANDREA LOCKHART
Dramatic Arts (AADA, NYC) and worked onstage, in films and in
commercials throughout New York before moving back to Los Angeles.
Here in LA, she’s worked as a producer and has acted in numerous
theatre productions, films and commercials. Her films have been in film
festivals throughout the United States, Europe, Greece, Canada and
Japan.
Her most memorable work includes originating the role of Sid in FEED
(obtaining an LA Weekly Awards nomination for Best Actress) and
originating the role of Princess in Briar Rose, written by a fellow teacher
here at the Playground, Kelli Tager.
She currently studies and performs improvisation with the Upright Citizens
Brigade and is a proud member of a theatre company here in LA.
Throughout her acting career, Andrea has taught children’s acting classes
and has worked as a private acting coach for children in New York and Los
Angeles. She feels blessed to work here at The Playground, where she
has had some of her most rewarding experiences as a teacher.
